CUSTOMER CASE STUDY
Site heating for a 20,000 m² school building
When one of the region’s major school construction projects got underway, the contractor faced a key challenge: ensuring rapid, controlled and environmentally friendly drying in a large building covering 20,000 m², constructed with a timber frame. The project required a solution capable of delivering a stable indoor environment, dry air and reliable air circulation – all fully automated.
The challenge
Given the high levels of moisture in the structure and the stringent durability requirements, the project needed:
Effective drying of timber frames and building materials
Automated operation with as little manual intervention as possible
Energy-efficient solutions in line with the project’s environmental profile
A controlled and consistent climate across large areas
Any delays in the drying-out process could have had a negative impact on the entire timetable.
The solution
We supplied a complete climate control system tailored to large volumes and the specific requirements of the timber structure.
The solution comprised:
Automated control that continuously adjusts power, air circulation and dehumidification
Energy-efficient air-conditioning units that minimise operating costs and environmental impact
Optimised air circulation to ensure even and rapid drying throughout the building
Monitoring to ensure stable, uninterrupted operation
The system was configured to operate with very little manual intervention – exactly as requested by the site management.
The result
The project was carried out entirely according to plan, and the drying times were adhered to without any problems whatsoever.
The staff on site gave very positive feedback and highlighted the following in particular:
Dry, clean air throughout the construction period
Very good air circulation, which created a pleasant working environment
Stable, uninterrupted automatic operation
A sustainable and energy-efficient solution that met the project’s environmental objectives
The controlled indoor environment helped both to ensure the quality of the building and to create a safer and more efficient workplace.
